"The elves and the shoemaker"

"There was once a shoemaker, who worked very hard and was very honest: but still he could not earn enough to live upon; and at last all he had in the world was gone, save just leather enough to make one pair of shoes."

I read “The elves and the shoemaker”. This story’s main character is one  shoemaker. He was poor, but a very sincere person. He lost everything what he had but leather enough to make one pair of shoes, and cut it out for the next day. The next day, something interesting happened. There were shoes on the table, and the degree of perfection was great. This incident occurred many times and made him and his wife rich. They wanted to know about who was making the shoes, so they hid and observe what is going on. Then, some little naked dwarfs came and made shoes quickly. Shoemakers thought that they should to give thanks to the dwarfs and gave them a shirt, and coat, and so on. The dwarfs came in the midnight again and seemed mightily delighted. From that day, the shoemakers never seen dwarfs, but they lived happily forever.
I felt in this story that those who work hard are rewarded. I was also struck by the fact that the main characters thanked the dwarfs for their help.

"The History of the Football"

"These days most people have a football to play with." "In the old days there were no real footballs." "Stones do not make very good footballs." The book, as the title suggests, is about the history of football. I was surprised by the fact that they used to play football with the bladder of a pig. Then I learned that various innovations were made to make the ball what it is today. If you're a football player, you should read this book. I like watching soccer games, but I didn't know the history of soccer. And I was very surprised by the fact that people played soccer using the bladder of a pig. At first I thought it was a little bit harsh, but considering that football wouldn't have been created today without it, I thought it was amazing who came up with it. ＥR 2021 ③　Wind and Fire Part1

 The book begins with a scene that a huge storm hits at night. The storm knocks down a tree and destroys an ice cream store. When the outside light falls, a small fire ignites the tree from the wire, and a huge fire breaks out. There is a part 2 to this book, so I will check it out next time.

“Snow-White and Rose Red”

”A poor widow once lived in a little cottage. In front of the cottage was a garden, in which were growing two rose trees; one of these bore white roses, and the other red.” I also read “Snow-White and Rose Red”. The main characters of this story are two girls. One name is Snow-White and the other is Rose-Red. One day, a dear came into their house suddenly. The children were astonished, but their mother didn’t. She told them that the bear won’t do nothing wrong, and that was correct. The bear and children soon became friends and had a good time. But one day, the bear left the house to protect treasures from the bad dwarfs. One day, the children came across a dwarf in the forest. And it was not once, but several times. Every time they came across dwarfs, they helped them. On their way home, they met a dwarf again. The children and the dwarf came across a big black bear. The dwarf was kicked and dead.
